Can a hair stlyist get to keep all the money from all customers if they work in a salon?
I think to become a hairdresser and I wondered if I work in someone elses living room I keep all the money from all my clients?
It depends on what type salon, and the owner has to deal with you, and how they pay you. If you booth rental, you get to keep the money, but you have to pay the rent booth and generally, if the show does not provide it, buy products, etc., so the majority of it does come back in the lounge. . But if the show is a commission, No, you do not. You keep the tips, but the money you make goes into the living room, and you get a paid job like any other work there.
