Take a moment and imagine taking your home business offline. Take old school. Now ask yourself, "Is that it?" If your answer is no, or unsure, you may want to start looking for another business model.
Many people seem to believe that the company is something that is supposed to be done on the internet (I suffer from this from time to time). But what if you lost your internet for a while? Would you still be able to run a profitable business or would it succumb to your situation? Can you make it work if you had to run offline?
Back in the day that you could just put an ad in the newspaper to show others "How To Get Rich" and people buy, as he went out of style. Much has changed since those golden days and it's not that easy more.
Although there are expenses involved and there is more work as well, it is always possible to make a living. What kind of value is the product bringing to the table. Is it worth weight in gold or do you have something that is totally useless in the real world?
What I'm trying to do understand is this: If you really can take your business offline and still be successful with the products and services you offer you some something special there. This is just food for thought. What is your business model like?
So ask yourself this question and be honest about it: "My company can survive outside the house?"
